Catherine Thomas

Catherine Thomas is a Dorset-based jeweller, exhibiting country-wide through various galleries and fairs.

She finds inspiration in natural forms and the environment, transforming precious metals through techniques such as etching, hammering and pressing; it is rare for her work not to be textured to reflect a love of both the metal, and the surrounding environment.

Each item is entirely handmade employing traditional jewellery bench skills.  She works largely in sterling silver, with the addition of natural semi-precious stones and highlights in gold, creating contemporary designs that are functional, easy to wear and highly individual.
