Samantha O’Brien (Dorset Hill Jewellery)

Dorset Hill Jewellery is the practice of Samantha O'Brien. She makes thoughtful contemporary pieces inspired by the textures and colours of the stunning Dorset coastline.

 Geology, natural transformation and erosion influence her work.  Sammy combines fabrication, fusing, water casting and reticulation to create her tactile jewellery.

 Gemstones are often the star of the piece and often dictate the design too.

. With a background in Mental Health Nursing, Sammy is passionate about the therapeutic value of creativity and making by hand. .

She teaches at Jenny Greenhow Studio and Arts University Bournemouth, encouraging others to experience the restorative mindful nature of the practice of working with silver.
