Lesley Adolphson

I started making silver jewellery in 2009 when I embarked on a City & Guilds Silver Jewellery Making Course. It was there a fellow student told me about silver metal clay. What an amazing material; I couldn’t believe my luck - to be able to make pieces in clay, fire them and they turned into metal…fine silver. Wow! This material has inspired me! I use silver metal clay to make pendants and also charms for earrings and bracelets in conjunction with sterling silver wire and sheet.

Way back in the 70’s at Teacher Training College my personal study subject was ceramics, skills I learnt then are now in full use again in my work with metal clay.

I make jewellery that I would wear myself and hope to create pieces that others might love too!
