Sharon Justice

Trained at Portsmouth college of Art between 1978-1982 gaining a Southern Regional Diploma in 3D Design; she was a finalist in the Platinum Competition three times and has exhibited at Goldsmiths Hall and various galleries around Britain. She presently works from her studio at Waverley Road Southsea where she runs courses and workshops.

Sharon is currently working in predominantly silver, with the inclusion of some semi precious and non precious beads and stones, producing designs incorporating forging, woven wire and applied texture techniques some of which are highlighted with oxidization or gold using the technique Keum Boo.

Her influences have always been pattern forms ranging from architectural and natural through to textile, ancient and modern. At the moment there is a heavy influence from embroidered and printed patterns of the early 20th century, as well as a constant draw to lace of any age or style.
